Take Washington Beltway I-495 to I-270 North towards Frederick MD.

Exit I-270 at Exit 16 ­ Father Hurley Blvd., which is also known as MD 27.

Head North East on MD 27 for about 12 miles from I-270.

The Damascus City limits are marked, but the town sprawls along a ridge. Pass Damascus High School on right. There is a traffic light just northeast of the school.

At the next traffic light, the road forks. Take the RIGHT fork (the road now becomes MD 108. MD 27 is the left fork).

Travel 1 block, pass through one traffic light and then another block of downtown Damascus.

At the next traffic light, the Damascus Library is on the left on the far side of the intersection. (There are signs for MD 124 going to the right at this intersection.)

The library entrance and parking lot is on the far side of the Library.

The Library is part of the same building as the Senior Center. There is also a child care center that shares the parking lot.

(If you end up at a MacDonald’s just beyond at traffic light, you took the wrong fork. Turn right at that light, then bear left at the next. Then you’ll see the MD 124 intersection and the Library on the left at the next light.)
