Description

by Matthew Guey-Lee

This is my first module. I had thought that it might be very difficult to build a module, so I followed the instructions for building a module in The Ntrak How-To Book.  This was helpful in explaining how to do everything. Constructing the module was fairly easy - all you need is some basic carpentry skills.

I found the inspiration for my module from Lake Accontink Park in Springfield. This park has two tracks of NS running through the middle of the park on a high trestle in front of the lake dam. I used that as a base for my scene.

I chose to build the bridge in front of the dam as a three track ballast deck bridge with girders on the sides. I built a 320' muddy river for the bridge to cross. I built a small cow farm on the left side of the river. On the right side of the river I have a small signal tower and a DPM building that I am calling the pumping station. This makes the lake behind the dam the reservoir. I want to add a tank for chlorine, piping to connect every thing, and maybe a siding for tank cars to bring the CL to the pumping station. (ed. note:  Check back here to see how this progresses!)
